Ann^6 S. Van Wickle (Simon^5, Nicasius^4, Simon^3, Evert^2, Jentie^1 Jeppes) was b. 16 May 1784, South Amboy Twp, NJ and d. 13 August 1869 (bur. Morgan Manor, S. Amboy, NJ). She married Major Gen. James Morgan (b. 29 December 1756 and bap. 29 January 1757 and d. 14 November 1822) on 20 October 1805 in Middlesex Co., NJ.

Children: Catherine^7 (Caty) Ann Morgan, b. 6 September 1806, S. Amboy Twp, NJ and d. 29 April 1825. She married John Weatherill on 6 September 1824; Charles^7 Morgan, b. 13 January 1808, S. Amboy Twp, NJ and d. 1 September 1852. He married Elizabeth Blackwell (Rockwell?). He went about 1803 to Point Coupee, LA; Emeline^7 Morgan, b. 29 December 1810, S. Amboy Twp, NJ and d. 12 October 1845. She m. Frederick F. Hardenburgh on 1 September 1827; Mary^7 D. Morgan, b. 18 January 1814, S. Amboy Twp, NJ and d. 15 May 1855. She m. Edwin R. Hanks; Almira^7 Morgan, b. 10 May 1818, S. Amboy Twp, NJ

Notes on Major General James Morgan (1756-1822): A website on New Brunswick History (www.ifu.net/~halladay/ebhistory.htm) states that "the sandy clay soid in the area [of Old Bridge, NJ] was very well adapted to the manufacture of pottery and bricks and subsequent to the Revoluton, General James Morgan and Jacob Van Wickle [Ann (Van Wickle) Morgan's cousin] established a pottery industry which remained in operation until 1828.

A website offering congressional biographical information (http://bioguide.congress.gov/scripts/biodisplay.pl?index=M000951) states the following about James Morgan (1756-1822)

Morgan, James, a Representative from New Jersey, born in Amboy, NJ, on December 29, 1756; attended the public schools, served as an officer in the New Jersey Line during the Revolutionary War; representative in the general assembly in Philadelphia, Pa., 1794-1799; elected as a Republican to the Twelfth Congress (march 4, 1811-March 3 1813); engaged in agricultural pursuits; became major general of militia; died in South Amboy, Middlesex County, NJ, November 11, 1822; interment in the Morgan private cemetery, Morgan, NJ.
